The miles counter in the app and online said 997,771 before I left Austin and both read 999,513 now after AUS-LAX-SFO credited. I had lots of plan changes this week, and was originally supposed to cross the threshold on the day of this flight, but never on this flight. I will be interested to see what happens when I actually cross next week, I suspect nothing, which is just fine. I am a happy camper.
Flew the actual million mile flight SFO-SEA. After boarding, seat 1F, a gate agent came on and asked me to come out to the jetway, he had a goodie bag for me with a travel mug, a pen, the printed card from Scott Kirby. and a card signed by SFO ground staff. The captain gave me a card with the flight number on it and congratulations. I asked the captain for a weight and balance or flight plan, he gave me an ACARS printout and signed it with the flight number.

None of the gifts were dupes from before, so I got an amazing double celebration. After the safety a the flight attendant announced that I was crossing a million miles and announced my name (could have done without that). When I got to the hotel in SEA, I logged in to /mystatus and got the congratulations message from Luc Bondar and was able to instantly nominate my companion.

All in all it was a lot more than I was expecting. I wonder if I'll get the lucite plaque, that would be nice, but I've got plenty to frame and remember it by.
