I submitted my first-ever claim under APPR yesterday for myself and MrsITAG. The flight arrived in Houston well over 3 hours past scheduled arrival.
Reading this thread, it would seem that they are going to claim it's weather or safety, but I have a bunch of messages that indicate nothing of the sort.
What sort of running around might I expect, and what sort of pushback channels are available? Both myself and MrsITAG are SE.
Almost all unscheduled maintenance is related to safety, so I would expect your claim to be denied.

Create a claim for APPR. Almost all loading/unloading claims are eligible, with some exceptions.
