Things your great grandmother would be proud to pass on as family heirloom.
Not totally the same, but I have only got 1 Ming vase left at home that managed to survive 2 kids and a football during EK/WK Worldcup frenzy.
My Tang dynasty vase did survive my two divorces, however it did not survive our dog's wagging tail ..... although it is glued back together,
the value plummeted that neither of my ex-wives were still interested in prying it off me..... phew!

( i spotted a lot of CD in the car park .... naive me thought it was Christan Dior making a comeback !)
or the rest of the Delftware plates are still in the dishwasher through the rinsecycle.
but anyway on the plate : beef carpaccio
