Not to get too off topic, but just to clarify, China Airlines, the Taiwanese SkyTeam carrier, has a very good premium economy product. Air China markets and sells their product as Premium Economy. And technically the seats are slightly wider, but not enough to have fewer seats per row than regular economy. Mainly it is just slightly wider armrests that store the tray tables. If anybody is ever considering this product, just try to think of it as a sort of extra legroom economy product rather than premium economy. They do seem to offer free refunds and changes on premium economy fares, so that is quite big, but if you aren't interested in that, I don't think you would want to pay double for the actual product...
