Back in 2019 the Spanish OTA Destinia opened up an office in Teheran.

For a while it was possible to book Tickets from the EU for flights within Iran with Iran Air, Mahan Air etc. literally for next to nothing (10-20 EUR max. per Ticket)

They used "YEKPAY", back then an almost 100 % Paypal-clone. The Turkish Halikbank helped them to circumvent the sanctions. After a lot of pressure from the EU/USA they stopped, but it will cost them a fortune in fines. The legal proceedings are still ongoing.

Now comes the interesting part: The payment was made in CNY and then transferred by Halikbank to a Bank account in China.

Theoretically one can actually still download YEKPAY from the official Google Play Store and make payments in CNY to China. I am surprised they have not deleted the Iranian App yet, maybe because with around 1k Downloads they fly under the radar.
