Fairly obviously haven't advanced the AN-2 plan, though it's in the back of my mind and will eventually fall out. But a couple of things - a guy on the "Special Flights Enthusiasts" group on FB is setting up an LI-2 flight in Budapest and looking for people to join; if interested join the group or I can pass expressions of interest on. The LI-2 is a Russian licensed version of the DC3, and the flight is based around Budapest airport. I think you can book seats at weekends anyway.

I've also got a couple of things set up with spare seats. First is a light aircraft flight from Ferrara into San Marino Torraccio (the only air strip in San Marino, quite a unique experience). This is pencilled in for the end of May, I'm booked to Bologna (on BA, let's maintain the connection) 28th to 30th with 29/30 allocated to the flight depending on weather. The plan is it'll be a return trip, land in San Marino, maybe have lunch, then back to Ferrara.

The second is seats on a helicopter from La Massana Andorra around Andorra. This needs to you to fly in from Madrid to La Seu (not in Andorra, even though it's often referred to as Andorra La Seu), and the helicopter flight is 27th April. You transfer to La Massana by free bus and taxi, and the flights from Madrid are on IB and usually avaiilable as redemptions.

These are part of a project to land or take off in every European state (I'm struggling a bit with the Vatican, but plans involving becoming pope, a jet pack, or an air ambulance evacuation are gradually taking shape, possibly the latter two might be combined as the first seems unlikely). The rider is that they become quite weather dependent - Torraccio is a grass strip on the side of a hill, there are some videos on Youtube to show the experience.
