I think my issue is that my expectations were too high. I generally fly 80% of my domestic/transborder flights in Air Canada Business, Premium Rouge or Westjet Premium Economy. I understand now of course that Porter Reserve was not the premium type experience I had expected.
Now, when it comes to economy, I'd say Porter has a very competitive experience. The E2 jet was very comfortable, I enjoyed the free wifi, the extra large windows and the free banana bread/snack is better than the biscotti cookies you get with Westjet Economy.
Now that I know what to expect with Porter Reserve, I'll just consciously book only economy with Porter but in the off chance I book Reserve, I'll go into it with the right expectations this time.
I hope that helps.
