If AA's international strategy is to rely on partners for the bulk of its international lift then partner award availability must be significantly improved. In my several years as Executive Platinum I've never seen partner premium award availability so scarce. In some cases (e.g., QF) it is simply not available anymore. It's either pay an inflated price for a premium seat on one of AA's limited international flights or fly coach on a partner. And, yes, I know there are exceptions for those with great flexibility.
