I have an upcoming biz ticket from JNB-IST-ORD. Two questions for the community:

1. When trying to add extra baggage online, I am shown the attached message which says "There is no extra baggage option for this flight". Is there ever a case where they don't accept any extra bags for a flight? We are hoping to add 2 bags per person beyond the typical 2 pieces allocated for this flight.

2. For us to get upgraded business award availability, we had to book the two legs of our tickets separately via a multi-city booking. That means we have a 25 hour layover in Istanbul. Do you think they will allow us to check our bags all the way from JNB to ORD? Or will we have to collect in IST and re-check in given that we have more than 24 hours on the ground?
