I have used my free bag tag once. The main oddity I had was that my bag had a new label slapped *over* the screen when I had a misconnection. It took a bit of effort to get the glue off.
I have got you beat. One of the first times I ever used the EBT, when I got my bag at baggage claim it had a TSA sticker in the middle of the screen. I reported it to AS and sent them a photo. They asked for the photo and wanted to investigate. Never heard back...
