So you have a separate ticket on Scoot? And plan on later taking an unrelated flight on SQ (ticketed by NZ)? And now the gap between these separate tickets is just over 2 hours? These are not ‘connecting flights’ - Scoot only is interested in getting you and your bags to SIN. And SQ is expecting you to originate in SIN. It is all on you to manage this situation. This situation is a known risk with separate tickets.

Scoot will not check-thru bags to on separate tickets. From their FAQ:

I have booked my flights on separate itineraries. Will I be able to through check-in all the way to my destination?

ANSWER. No. You must be on the same itinerary to enjoy through check-in to final destination and only applicable to Scoot-to-Scoot or Scoot-to-Singapore Airlines, vice versa, flight itinerary.

If you hold separate bookings, you will have to collect your baggage (if any), clear Custom and Immigration formalities and re-check in at departure hall to receive your onward boarding pass. Do make sure you have necessary entry document to enter the transit/ arrival countries.
I can say that Scoot is a Low Cost Carrier, and in general I would usually build in long gap (overnight) for such an itinerary. I’d not be comfortable with a 2 hours gap between flights. Scoot recommends 2 hours if you have genuine connecting flights (ie both on a single booking reference). https://www.flyscoot.com/en/plan/bef...changi-airport. If you have to collect bags, enter Singapore and then check-in with SQ, then that seems highly risky to accomplish is 2 hours.

What is your Plan B if Scoot won’t check you thru….?

Seems to me it'd be wise to re-book one or other of the flights to gain a much bigger gap. Just my opinion. Regulars here will likely have a refined view.
