I've been checking from time to time and saw recently that a Corner suite had gone up for sale for our dates. They switched the suite upgrade to it, no problem. This for a stay in a couple of months. GHT is our first choice, but there are three of us and they won't let us use points and no suites are available, so I'm pretty happy all things considered. From what I can see the Corner Suite at this hotel seems like one of the nicer suite upgrade certificate eligible rooms in Tokyo. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I'll keep checking the GHT, but I think I'll be happy if this ends up where we stay.
how did you get them to switch the room type? Did you just email them?
i also have a suite king booked via a points upgrade, but there’s now a corner suite available I want to switch to. The standard/base rate has gone up so I don’t want to cancel and rebook
