Now I'm worrying that I was too hasty and the Pool Suite isn't worth the 70k a night regardless of the room rate.

Not sure if the standard 2 queen room is still available but what do some of the seasoned GH travelers here think of the pool suite and the value at 70k points a night (vs 35k/nt in a standard room that prob would not have seen an upgrade).

Many thanks for you help all!
Have stayed 3 times in last 3 years. First with family of 4 (4 yo and 6 mos) in a double queen room, which was totally fine and plenty of room. Following year booked pool suite on points. Was nice to have a separate bedroom. There's still just one bath. There is a pull out couch that is probably a double bed. Good for us, preferred and felt like worth it at 50k pts per nt. Then 3rd year we had a new baby so total 5 now, booked a pool suite again at 50k points but were moved to an ocean view suite near the lounge (had a 2nd res with my parents in a regular king so they put us together and gave them an ocean view upgrade). The ocean view suite was a fair amount bigger, but there is not a pull out couch. For us it was inconvenient to be far away from the pool, but I generally don't mind walking the property as it's so nice. I get about 12-15k steps daily at the GHK, which is an awesome change from my regular routine.

Hope that helps, for us the suites have been nice to have a separate bedroom and more space with younger kids. Worth it is so subjective, at 50k we thought it was a reasonable value. I think the pool suite and regular rooms would feel a bit tight with older kids, but more reason to leave the room which isnt a bad thing.

Enjoy, we love this property!
