Were WF points at 1.7 cpp value that's 8.5% return on spend.
WF Autograph Journey: 5x1.7= 8.5% return on spend (this is what I peg all those transferrable point programs at)
Hilton: 14x.5=7% return on spend
WoH card: 4x1.5= 6% return on spend
IHG Premier: 10x.5=5% return on spend
Marriott: 6x.7=4.2% return on spend
(All my numbers, plug in your own if you like)
Using AirFrance at 1.2% x 5=6%
Experience has taught me that IHG points are typically 0.7% with Select card holders like me getting 10% back and there is the 4 nights for three options so the it is at least 10 x0.7=7%
For WoH I looked in Columbus, OH where I visit family and it varied from 2.4% to 3.9%. I will make the math easy and go with 2.5%.
4x2.5=10%
Definitely not a death knell for hotel cards.
