I had a very good stay at The Saski last week, at the end of February.

Being low season the hotel was not very busy (I would say less than 50% occupancy rate), which is why I was lucky enough to have an upgrade to a One Bedroom Suite the day before my arrival.

I agree with all the previous positive reviews: you can't have a hotel in a better location in Krakow, and it is located in a historic building which, before the recent renovation and transformation into a luxury hotel, housed a historic hotel of the same name.

Breakfast is one of the hotel's strong points, and is one of the best I have found in Polish hotels due to its high level of quality. I attach some photos, which after two years are almost identical to those in post #4.

I had the opportunity to visit the swimming pool and the sauna and steam bath area, and unfortunately this is one of the weak points of the hotel due to the extremely limited spaces: there are in fact no more than 6 deckchairs in the pool area and 3 in the sauna, which in my opinion are extremely few for a hotel that claims 117 rooms. For example, when I was at the swimming pool, after going to the sauna on my return I found an idiot who had removed my bathrobe, the towel and my things from the deckchair where I was sitting and he had placed himself there. If similar incidents happen with a half-empty hotel, I can't imagine when it will be fully booked with over 200 guests.

In conclusion I find that, despite the negative aspects highlighted, it is one of the best hotels in Krakow. In this season it is not uncommon to find rates well below 700 zlotys, a figure still high by Polish standards, but absolutely within the reach of the average tourist looking for a high-level experience. Also in this season, however, the Doubletree, excellent hotel where I stayed the following week, although penalized by its location, offers rates on average 50% lower than those of the Saski.
