My update on the extra 5,000 promo, which we thought was for both travel miles and elite (status) miles based on the wording of the promo.

I have 1 leg left of my 7-leg mileage run under that promo. So far, I have received an extra 5,000 travel miles AND 5,000 elite (status) miles for EACH leg. I am very pleasantly surprised.

For reference, I registered the first day of the promo and made my bookings the first day of the promo - both before the promo was pulled. (I booked 7 one-way legs. And I am ready to go home now.). Caveat: (YMMV) - your mileage may vary (literally) depending on when you registered/booked.
