Update:
was able to do a teams call with the Alaska BAGTAG team. Few items that were learned:
- reservation in it’s entirety must be only AS metal flights. Not just the outbound portion or inbound portion.
- tag can only be cleared if it was set by the Alaska app. If the screen was set in the BAGTAG app, Alaska app can’t clear it.
To be clear - the alaska app CAN clear anything put on the tag by the bagtag app. I do it all the time.
use can only be on carriers that are largely familar or use BAGTAG. SO the codeshare use is restricted. But you can use it on other carriers wholely operated itineraries such as QR, LH, LX....
