I'm SAN based and a United MM. I've enjoyed the focus city approach as most of my flying these days is leisure. I take several Hawaii flights a year along with probably 6 SAN-TPA flights. It seems that there are many more elites these days out of SAN than just a few years ago. I'm just lowly MVP now but still get the occasional upgrade. As an MVPG, upgrades were pretty consistent but like I said, I'm mostly on leisure routes. I'm just in it for the non stop flights these days.
