BHX is my home airport too. The Number 1 lounge is great and I have used it several times when flying EasyJet and Ryanair. I can’t remember the details but it is better than an airline lounge I once had to us when flying from BHX in J.
But I almost always fly from LON so can’t offer advice on BHX QR menus. However, whatever the choice it is really good for aeroplane food so you’ll have a great time.
In J QR is probably my best experience. Their F is poor, except for the Doha lounge which is wonderful. But the J lounges are great too so you’ll enjoy them. The former boss Al Baker said their J was so good it was others’ F and their F was a bit of fluff for rich Qataris; he’s right.
