Just wrapped up a 7 night stay with my wife, our 3 year old and 3 month old. Overall we enjoyed our experience and felt the property itself was beautiful. We tried all of the specialty restaurants and felt the food exceeded our expectations for an AI resort. Didn’t drink too much, but they had a decent selection including Don Julio on request. We went to a couple of the family events at the kids club, which were nice, but our daughter was too young to go on own.

Some issues which reflect what others have mentioned here. First, housekeeping was hit of miss. Seems they have some strange way of assigning housekeepers aa ours would bounce all over the building before serving our room. At least 4 days we had to call the front desk and request that someone come to clean as it would be 5/6pm and he hadn’t come. Not clear if we were last on our list or he just forgot. Second, shuttles were a challenge. We were in casa 6 and sometimes had to wait 10-12 minutes to get one. The issue was even worse when a conference took over the resort and flooded the roadways with their private vans. Third, beach is just OK - it’s rocky and shallow so if that’s a dealbreaker might want to reconsider.

overall would consider rebooking. I booked via Costco as their prices were insanely cheap so can’t speak to any elite benefits.
