The ones deserving of being called luxury have a “no worries, we will make everything right” attitude. Just make sure to check the bill at checkout time so anything that didn’t happen automatically gets fixed. Because they checked us out and back in before we even had breakfast the first morning, charges for both days’ breakfasts appeared on the second bill. When I brought that up at checkout, they fixed it with no hassle. It would be super disappointing if a “luxury” property gave you trouble with splitting the credits in any particular way, as long as your F&B purchases fit at least some definition of being split into days.
Using the credit the morning of check-in (instead of check-out) is perfectly within the rules of the credit, luxury or not, that's a minor adjustment. I've had every even luxury property be very strict on "one credit per day", no flexibility - perfectly their right, but annoying. At least they tell you up front.
