Sure that would be amazingly consumer friendly, but Hilton cares about the bottom line and keeping the franchises happy. They want you to eat there 3 times during a 3 night stay, so there is more overage and more money.
I have a 5 night stay at a Marriott in CT next month that I am paying 80,000 points for. Would be nice if they would just use my 85k FNC for it, but they dont for the same reason
