You should try scanning that and sending it in with your retroclaim, along with a copy of your ticket.
When travelling on an unfamiliar airline, it's always advisable to ensure you send yourself your boarding passes by email for precisely these reasons. If for whatever reason that's not possible, it's then advisable to take photographs of your boarding passes immediately upon receiving them and prior to having them torn/taken at the boarding gate.
