I couldn't find what I was looking for in the forum search, maybe I wasn't inputting the right keywords.

I'm flying from BKK through TPE back to LAX. There is a significant layover at Taoyuan, so my family and I will be getting a hotel in the area and using the MRT. We really don't want to be schlepping our bags around. Does anyone know if EVA keeps the checked luggage through to the final destination, or, after arrival, will we need to pick up our checked baggage?
