I booked a "multi-city" trip with an 11-hour layover in SAN. This is not overnight, but rather 9am to 8pm.

Since this is a multi-city reservation, the itinerary includes 3 "Flight to" sections, but when I scroll down to the "Checked bags" section, it only shows 2 rows, not including the flight out of SAN. Would it be expected that United would check my bags through to the next destination?
