Base earning appears to be only 1x RDM for each $ spent on the non-air portion of the package.

The total package cost should code as 3x RDM on the AS Visa.

Most users will be better off booking directly with the hotel...or using a cash back portal through Expedia directly.

Having to deal with Expedia could be a dealbreaker from the get-go.
