Today was the start of ITB Berlin, the world's largest tourism trade fair.
(Not to be confused with ILA Berlin Air Show, which will be in 3 months)
Some announcements made today:
- Qatar will increase their weekly flights to Berlin from 14/7 to 18/7 starting November. With 787 and A350.
- Eurowings announced that their Berlin-Dubai route was/is the most successful route in their whole network and that they will expand it next winter:

This is remarkable, because the route is new.
Eurowings will fly Berlin-Dubai 7/7 next winter.
Also Condor will fly Berlin-Dubai 7/7 next winter.
Emirates is still not allowed to fly to Berlin, but they started a partnership with Condor.
- The airline flynas will start flights between Berlin and Jeddah in September. It is already possible to book this via the flynas website.
- Eurowings will also start flights between Berlin and Jeddah, starting this fall.
- Also Easyjet announced today that they will expand their capacities at BER
