Which if true, means that DL is trying further to dilute the complimentary upgrade benefits of PM/DM travelers. (More C+ seats taken as "Basic C+" by non-elites = fewer C+ seats available for upgrades - just as DL has very effectively done for FC.)
The odd thing is that as of late, DL has been charging a lot more to buy C+ upfront, and I’m curious how many people have actually been taking them up on it. It seems that if they really wanted to reduce upgrades and monetize C+, they’d be pricing it at more attractive levels.
