Then on 01 Oct I had dropped to Bronze. Phone calls got me nowhere except for the agents to say that they could only see 440 TP in my account for 2022-23. A bonus 180 TP for flights in the 2021-22 TP year ended up posting late so it was shown as included in my 2022-23 total, but was magically deducted at renewal.
I raised a complaint with BAEC, which took over three months to get a response to, and they are adamant that they won't do anything because of the Ts&Cs of the double TP promotion. The email saying 'Welcome to another year of Silver' was a system error which they are sorry for. I've followed up explaining the situation in more detail, but they are adamant that they will not reinstate my status.
At this point I'm expecting to be back at silver in the next few weeks anyway, assuming double TP for a BAH trip post correctly, so I've given up chasing. I was tempted to try CEDR, but their process isn't really well set up to deal with situations like this as it requires details of a specific flight on which issues were encountered.
I wish you the best of luck, but based on my own experience suggest not getting your hopes up too much.
I’ll make contact with them when I’m back. Weird that I received the message to say I retained gold for it to be downgraded. Can’t say I’m surprised though sadly
