BREAKFAST - same as yesterday really, slightly busier, did try the hot selection this time, was tasty but only tepid, noticed some nice breads.
Service good…..was great to meet and chat with Aldebaran and his wife too….. it was a pleasure to meet you both!.
CHECK OUT - done this @10:30 am and FD locked our bags away whilst we went for on last look around the old town.
Returned @ 3-35pm and bolt taxi to airport hotel was 53zt.
CONCLUSION - very enjoyable stay, only two niggles …..shower took a while to come through hot and air conditioning was a little weak.
Everything else was wonderful and I would definitely return although I probably would be tempted by the saski curio in the town as it looked great when I walked in there whilst exploring the old town area.
ROOM NO - 738
NEXT PLANNED STAY - Hilton Garden inn Krakow airport ( I’m here now )
It was nice meeting you and having a chat over breakfast.
Check-out for us too around @10am and then a tour to Wieliczka Salt Mine with bus 304. The bus passes right in front of the hotel but being an express bus it doesn't stop next to the hotel but you have to go, with another bus, to the next stop . Journey time only 20 minutes (moreover the same bus also passes next to the main station in Krakow)..Back at the HGI to pick up bags @3.30 and then a short tram ride to the Doubletree for our last night in town.
If you return to Krakow again, go to Saski Curio, it's really worth it, I was there last week before going to Warsaw, but also consider the Doulbletree, where I am now, which I consider my number 1 hotel when I am in Krakow. Upgrade to One Bedroom Suite (which here they call Apartment as there is also a kitchen), aperitif and a snack in the lounge, city tour for shopping and upon returning to the room the usual Diamond gift of a bottle of Shiraz wine and two plates of desserts, plus the GM's welcome message .
Tomorrow our paths will probably cross again somewhere at the airport, our flight is towards noon.
