I am in no way defending AA’s pricing for dynamic awards. But the point can be made with resorting to hyperbole or implying that JL redemption rates have gone up. And I have gotten some decent (not great, admittedly!) redemptions to/from Europe in the last 6 months. PHL-ORD-LHR for ~70k in J, and LHR-JFK in F for 90k.
