On the website, flight says 2hr42minutes. I booked a Porter Reserve fare to try out their "premium economy". It was about $170 more than economy.
I was beyond disappointed. Flight attendant said this route gets no meal service, so I got one pass of the snack basket and one round of drinks. The exact same as the entire airplane. There was zero difference in offerings or service than if I sat in row 30 and paid $170 less.
I also had no suitcases, so I didn't benefit from free checked luggage and I got stuck in the bulkhead row so I got no leg room. They also forgot to preboard Porter Reserve and instead lumped is into row numbers so the entire porter reserve section boarded the very last and had no rooms for our bags. And on top of that, no meal.
While I'm not ruling out Porter all together, but they should not be charging so much for a premium product (porter reserve) that had zero premiumness.
I'll fly economy next time and pay the extra $20 for a seat with more leg room and save me the $170.
Super disappointed
Excellent travel report. It's interesting (and concerning) that the in-flight was so sub-par given that Porter presents itself as offering a higher quality of experience than its competitors when comparing equivalent travel classes.
