Here are my experiences with using hotel FF numbers with BookAAhotels reservations in 2024:
  1. Sheraton Dallas at the Galleria: provided my Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium number, FD happily put it in and got free water and free breakfast. The toilet broke briefly and was quickly repaired, but the GM offered 10,000 points as “compensation” my Bonvoy account
  2. Le Meridien Dallas at the Galleria: provided said Bonvoy Titanium number, FD said this is a third party booking so we are sorry but no benefits and no elite recognition
  3. Hilton Anaheim (4 nights stay): provided my HHonors Lifetime Diamond member, and FD shrugged and said since this is a third party booking, they are unable to provide any elite benefit! Not even water never mind free breakfast
  4. Intercontinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping: provided general member IHG number, was given 20% off all meals and spa services (I had booked a room with Club benefits since I am nobody with IHG and it was absolutely worth it)
So it’s all over the place and YMMV for sure
