1) Yes

2) Air NZ tickets start with 086. Providing the whole booking is issued on 086 ticket stock there are no issues upgrading any Air NZ flights on the ticket.

Just be aware that AKL/SIN is one of the busiest sectors on the whole Air NZ network right now with most flights all chokka. Unless you can snag A / R class upgrades the odds of getting upgrades clearing is not good.
