Heck, I don't even need a 5*... put a HP/HH somewhere outside Waikiki on the way to the north shore. During the pandemic we actually stayed at the Courtyard North Shore. Was nice to hang out at some of our favorite beaches without dealing with Waikiki. First time we stayed at a "dry" hotel - that was a bit surprising (lack of research on my part, I guess), but we probably would have re-supplied at a grocery store anyway.
