My return leg was severely delayed due to whatever reason, so I jumped on a last-min WN flight to get home. Surprisingly AS customer service rep totally understood my MR situation, and manually credited mileage as if I have flown the return leg. I came home earlier than planned, w/ a happy wife, and all MR mileage (WN flight was booked by points, LOL)
