I'd love to see it happen but I fear that's unduly optimistic IMHO and I don't think even BNE authorities would be under any dellusion that there is a chance of that in the near future. I suspect they'er precisely trying to reignite the interest of some Asian airlines: Air China has pulled their flight I believe as has MH. JL and TG would be great targets too, etc. I really don't think BA is on the radar for more Australian flights, let alone to BNE which would probably be less of a realistic choice than either MEL or PER if it ever came to that (which is far from the case for now), and let alone from another base where they'd need to station crew etc.
