Deal! But more seriously Hyatt has gotten weak in Hawaii in terms of number and quality of properties available on points/awards. I’ve moved on to other destinations that are only a few more hours of flying but with better Hyatt properties and less of the nonsense. Fortunately we’re not crazy about beaches so it works for us.
We stayed at the Waikiki Centric for a week a few years ago and it’s a shame Hyatt isn’t holding the property to brand standards. Between the continued lack of breakfast, award gaming, and higher category, I doubt we’ll ever return.
