Both FUK-TPE and TPE-MFM flights on JX are priced at 7.5k each, as expected. The direct FUK-MFM distance is less than 1,300 miles, but guess what FUK-(TPE)-MFM flight is priced at? 25k (exactly what the new award chart says based on the sum of the distances)! NOT 7.5k (or even 15k).
Is that actually true though, or did JX just have their own award values before and it just happens to price that way? We'll find out when the switch actually happens, until then we get all sorts of funky pricing. JX doesn't price according to the future chart to the US either. TPE-LAX-SEA is 165k in J, which if the "sum of segments" was true, it would/should be 75k (TPE-LAX 6700 miles) + 15k (LAX-SEA 950 miles) = 90k miles, which it evidently isn't.

So your example is likely just a coincidence, and not evidence of "JX already uses the new chart". Let's not panic just yet.
