You know I’m not a hater of Basia but I do agree that simply on substance the LO meals in a number of cases are poor and sometimes embarrassingly small and so repetitive. There was nothing wrong with the dishes and glasses so if they spent the money on that (though I doubt, probably a sponsorship deal like LUZ, BZG) that was a mistake. The service is limited as well.

The range and quality of C beverages is also very limited on LO, some are absolutely awful quality.

The fares are getting higher and some of the plusgrades are getting crazy, I guess fewer takers mean they need to go up? Why do so many flights have so few pax in C? Even on routes to “rich countries” the cabin is tiny.

You can go from a generous legroom aircraft with at seat power, a working boiler (installed but unused Espresso machines) to utter crap on the ex-AZ, or Azul or Saratov, often with no hot water. Let’s not mention the MAX as well. At least row 1 on LH has continually (comparatively) good legroom and is consistently OK.

It may be splitting hairs but given the standard of European C is so low the small differences matter.

AlicorporateUK has posted more LO C meals than anyone and I do believe he shares my views.

Obviously, the LO SH Y experience is one of the best out there in Europe, especially for status pax, as a state owned company I’d expect nothing less, the trial reintro of alcohol on 5 routes is a testament to that. Keeping the standard high in the pandemic shamed dozens and dozens of European, Asian and American carriers and I will always be grateful.

The problem with LOT is that you need to look for the positives, they don’t jump out at you.
