What are the fares in Y on these flights relative to competitors? If CX is running them anyway to cater to J demand why not lower fares a bit to fill up the back and up the profit potential of each flight?
There's actually lots of potential demand from Indian tourists given HK is one of the very few visa free destinations they have available (well pre-registration is a requirement, but it's very quick and online and 90% acceptance rate.)
