True - but that was not the question posed. There is indeed a limit on the scope of claims for delays if you are returning home (which was the precise question asked), as a request to reimburse for a new (insert item of clothing here) due to delay (before the baggage is officially tagged as lost, when replacement becomes the issue) would not be reasonable if you had another two or three in the wardrobe at home waiting to be worn.

As others have noted all that should be required here I would expect is a statement that the location to which you arrived is not your home (or within a reasonable distance to your home, or one of your homes if that applies to you ...).
