So my presumption is that a VPN does not do anything for you to affect the pricing that you see for a flight.
AC is on the record saying something along the lines of that a grandma who accumulated 150k points in a lifetime might see a lower price than a frequent flyer for a specific search.
That being said, I still don't think the implementation is anywhere near what they were talking about. It's currently based on your status (and any credit card you hold is "part of your status").
