All of this will make it tricky. But so long as you explain the circumstances, and that you don't have a wardrobe of clothes in the UK, then your necessary expenditure should be met. Obviously it's best to be a bit frugal here, and it may be more tricky than a standard scenario, but actually I am not in doubt that you will eventually be paid off.
