Traditionally, I've enjoyed them mostly for 1. a quiet place to work during longer layovers and 2. because many had a playroom that was a huge help managing travel with a toddler and kid.

With the recent changes, the ACs are definitely feeling more crowded IME. Last week, I couldn't even find a free bathroom stall in DFW A during a short layover and ended up leaving to use the restroom for the unwashed masses before my flight. On the way back, the usually quiet areas in the DFW C AC were full of very loud groups, and the bar and food areas were crowded.

And, my kid is now a teenager, so she's outgrown any use of the playrooms anyways.

The third benefit -- quick and easy access to a very helpful agent if I miss a connection, has really paid off at times. But the app very often lets me do a rebook very quick, so this benefit seems less and less necessary.

The food is more often good enough to make a meal out of now, but ACs have never been, nor are, really great for food. I plan on ending my membership when renewal rolls around in September. It's become too expensive for what benefit I get out of it.
