Agree with poster, above, to buy when you see a price you like. Delta, unlike American, does not tend to offer cheap upgrades in the days leading up to the flight/at check in just in order to fill the front seats. Sometimes you can get a steal, but not often (in my experience) - especially now that I'm based in ATL.
