I was looking at booking MSM Tokyo, Autograph collection, 5 nights for 288,000 Marriott points, which is the price for 2 adults with a room and 2 double beds. I try to add a 3rd adult and the price on points becomes unavailable, and only allows me to book the top room at $3000 per night! Is it not possible to book 2 adults and show up with 3 and keep the same rate? Only 2 people for breakfast is fine.
Hilton Conrad Tokyo seems to be one of the only places that doesn't charge more for a 3rd person when using points.
Any recommendations?
Sep 2023 I stayed at Prince Sakura on points, and initially there were only two adults. When a third adult decided to join, I contacted the hotel directly and they are able to accommodate the third adult with extra bed cost of 7000JPY/night NET. Only the twin-bed room allow extra bed, not the king-bed room .. not sure of the reason. I also had contacted Prince Gallery earlier and they offered top-up of 11880JPY/night NET for the extra bed. Probably you do need to top up for the third guest on top of the points .. The extra bed is still cheaper than one more room ..
