Kona Village is a YES for sure....

Mary2E,

As a HNL based FF, and FF throughout the Neighbor Islands, I can for sure stay at Kona Village. I have been tempted to stay at the FS but for the money, or just a bit more, I can have three awesome meals a day at Kona Village. Plus, IMHO, as I have been on FS property, it is a bit "stuffy" if you please. Kona Village is very relaxed and to be honest with you, you don't really have to book an ocean view at KV, unless that is what you really want. The garden hales are just fine as are the ones around the pond. Take a look at the map of the "village" on their website, www.konavillage.com to see the specific locations of the hales. I think if you book for 5 or more nights, you will be able to specify a particular hale by number. I like the ones around the pond myself. Let us know what you decide.
