What would it take for AC to re-think the MM program? It takes enormous effort to reach 1MM miles, and E50 status for life is worthwhile recognition for that effort. However, it takes just as much effort again to reach 2MM miles, and the increase in status to E75 for life seems inappropriate recognition for this continued loyalty. Perhaps some will see the E50 for a friend as a substantial benefit. Personally, I would prefer to have SE for life over E75 for myself and E50 for a friend. For someone with my preference, what is the motivation to stay with AC over frequenting another airline?

Thinking about the number of members at 1MM vs 2MM, I suspect there is more than an order of magnitude reduction in the number of 2MM compared to 1MM. Could/would AC consider offering a choice at the 2MM threshold: SE or E75 plus E50 for a friend. The former would keep me flying AC for life. The latter simply doesn't work for me.
