Thank you for your reply which was pretty much what I was suspecting as well.
The tickets were purchased on 2 completely different Plat card accounts (Biz and personal) not the AU scenario where I believe it would definitely count as the same account because it would show up on the same statement which you need to submit a proof of purchase of ticket as per the claims form.
I don't understand why a one way ticket can't be included in the covered trips especially being that so many tickets are booked as one ways nowadays.
